  • Reel Development
TINA HUANG is an award-winning multi-hyphenate storyteller born in Dallas, Texas but raised in Chinatown, NYC. She earned her BFA from NYU’s Tisch with a focus in acting, directing and design (a program lovingly dubbed the “suicide track” by alumni). In addition to several film & TV acting credits, she’s a member and former Co-Artistic Director of Ammunition Theatre, and a member of IAMA Theatre. She’s Co-Founder of 1:1 Productions, which champions women of color in front of and behind the camera. Under 1:1’s banner, Tina produced, directed and wrote 4 short films which screened at many film festivals including the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, Pan African and Cleveland International. Tina’s debut short film, Xin, which she wrote and starred in was nominated for Best Narrative Short (BlackStar), won her a Best Performance award (TIDE) and was screened at Brooklyn Academy of Music. Tina was a 2018 Hedgebrook Screenwriting Fellow. imdb.me/tinahuang
