Elias Wygodny

  • Head of Movement

Elias is an educator, actor, musician, and ceramicist who blends their studies of movement, mind-brain education, wellness, and the arts to foster creative and compassionate learning environments. Elias holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from the University of Michigan, and a Graduate Certificate in Mind, Brain, and Teaching from the Johns Hopkins School of Education. He trained at Michael Chekhov Acting Studio NYC with Lenard Petit, and Lucid Body Institute with Fay Simpson where he received his Lucid Body Physical Acting Instructor Certification. He later served on faculty at Lucid Body Institute and Stella Adler Academy. He has taught at Skuespillar Akadamiet in Copenhagen, Laguna Playhouse Conservatory, and has led teacher development and mental health training programs globally in corporations, non-profits, government administrations, and outpatient care facilities. Favorite Performance Credits include: Sunday In The Park With George (CCAE Theatricals), Camelot (Laguna Playhouse / North Coast Rep), Passion (Chromolume Theatre), Assassins (Studio Theatre Tierra Del Sol), Witnesses (Rubicon Theatre), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Theatricum Botanicum), Les Miserables & Shrek (Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre), In A Sea of Faces (Cloud City / Barn Arts Collective), 2076 (Columbia University), Les Miserables (The Encore Music Theatre Company), Oliver (Marriott Theatre). Elias is a founding member of the Last To Leave Theater Company. As a certified E-RYT Yoga Instructor he has co-led multiple Yoga Teacher Training programs, with additional studies in mindfulness and meditation from the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute. As a vocalist, Elias has studied voice with Ron Raines, Jane Fujita, Julia Davids (author of Vocal Technique), and is a certified Singing Athlete Voice Coach by Andrew Byrne. He can be heard on spotify with bands Water & Rye, and The Heartstrings Project. Elias coaches voice, movement, and acting privately with T & E Voice Studio.
