Dale Brown is an independent casting director and educator.  His 25+ years of casting spans all mediums with a primary focus on theater. Among his current projects are the upcoming Off-Broadway production of The Fitzgeralds of St. Paul  and Life Jacket Theatre’s current development project, Gorgeous Nothings.  Other NYC work includes the acclaimed production of America Is Hard to See at HERE (listed #1 at the 2019 Edinburgh Festival); the Drama Desk nominated musical Daddy Long Legs, and teaming with Jason Styres on Our Brother’s Son Off-Broadway.  Regional work includes John Proctor Is the Villain, The Heart Sellers (Huntington Theater Co.), Rent (Atlanta Opera), Run Bambi Run (premier), New Age (premier), The Chinese Lady & Things I Know To Be True (Milwaukee Rep.), Sense & Sensibility (Chicago Shakespeare Theater), Disgraced (Syracuse Stage}; In The Heights (Seattle Rep), 2 Pianos 4 Hands (Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park) and Lives of Reason, In This House (Two River Theater). He also delights in being the NY casting director of Flat Rock Playhouse – one of his favorite acting alma maters,  In his 5+ years with Tara Rubin Casting, Dale’s work included maintaining the North American companies of The Phantom of the Opera and Billy Elliot and work on the Broadway productions of A Little Night Music, Jesus Christ Superstar, Guys & Dolls and Old Jews Telling Jokes off-Broadway. In addition to his work with Stella Adler Studios, Dale has taught audition technique for many university programs.  His casting career follows 15 years as a professional actor, bringing unique insight to the paths and challenges facing actors as they pursue their professional careers.
